Growing Environments

Our passion at New Hope is to lead others to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.  Recognizing that we are all on a journey, we desire to travel along side of you as you travel along the road of discipleship.  We have several environments designed to help you develop as a Christian.  These environments include Sunday School, Starting Points, and Discipleship Class.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a place where you can meet with a smaller group of believers to discuss and study topics relating to the Christian life.  It is a great next step on your discipleship journey.  In this environment you will find a welcoming atmosphere where you can feel free to explore and develop your faith.  Sunday School classes are offered during both our 9:00 and 10:30am services on Sundays.  Below you will find the classes we are currently offering; feel free to join one this Sunday.

9:00 SERVICE CLASSES

STARTING POINTS Teacher: Ruthie Knafel

What does the Bible say about sin, salvation, baptism, obedience, prayer, and the church? This class will help you build a strong spiritual foundation through exploring God’s word, and help you grow stronger in your Christian walk. If you have been away from church for awhile or are somewhat new in your faith, this class is for you.

SPIRITUAL SIMPLICITY Teachers: Shawn Ellis

If you crave simplicity, yearn for peace and calm, this book is for you. Is it possible to be involved in too many good and important things? These things can overwhelm and flood your life. Is it possible that by doing less you can love more?

THE BLESSED LIFE Teacher: Cathy Jantzen

Discover the joy of giving. This book will transform your life for the better. It will change every area of your life: marriage, family, health, & relationships. For when God changes your heart from selfishness to generosity, every part of your life-journey is affected.

IT SAID WHAT? (part 2) Teacher: Craig Byers

Ever wondered what the church holds as its core statement of beliefs? Ever wondered why the church believes what it believes? This is the second half of a study looking at the core beliefs of the church. This quarter will look at marriage, family, baptism, communion, and more.

EPHESIANS Teachers: Jim & Sonya Ingalls

Through attempting to live a transformed life by the power of the Holy Spirit, the church in Ephesus was immersed in an evil culture and surrounded by sin. But Paul’s letter provides us with a blueprint for Christian behavior and shows us our continual need for God’s help.

10:30 SERVICE CLASSES

THE PURPOSE OF MAN – Designed to worship Teacher: William Neely

AW Tozer says, “Worship is [our] full reason for existence. Worship is why we are born and why we are born again.” This book draws from Tozer’s best teachings and will challenge you to reconsider your life’s priorities while at the same time hold out a cup of Living Water for your soul. This class is open to men, women, and couples.
