Swim Upstream
Scripture: Romans 12:2
Big Idea: A disciple lives a life transformed by the gospel rather than conformed to culture. Following Jesus means intentionally resisting the current of the world and allowing God to renew the way we think and live.
Reflection:
- Are you swimming upstream toward Jesus, or drifting with the current of culture?
- What area of your life is being shaped more by culture than by Christ?
- Are you allowing God's Word or social media, entertainment, and culture to shape your thinking?
- What "current" in your life is quietly pulling you away from Jesus?
- Where have you been tempted to compromise instead of stand firm in your faith?
- Does your life stand out because it reflects Jesus, or does it blend in with the world around you?
- Are you being transformed by the renewing of your mind, or simply conforming to what's around you?
- What is one practical step you can take this week to intentionally "swim upstream" and follow Jesus more faithfully?
Next Step: Join us next Sunday as we continue our Discipleship series and discover another mark of a disciple as we learn what it looks like to faithfully follow Jesus in every area of life.
